Each of our hand-crafted designs features the best of the season, and focus on sourcing locally-grown flowers & foliages, supported by the best of blooms imported
from flower farms around the world. Our flowers have a long reputation for excellent vase life in the home.

Our People
The Ladybug Studio was founded by Olds, Alberta resident Margaurita D'Alessandro in 2001.
She was considered one of our communities' most innovative floral artists. She established her floral shop in a local heritage home from the 1920s. Over the next two decades, she grew it into a budding (forgive the pun) floral business with a loyal clientele and a reputation for outstanding style and service.
In 2022, Margaurita hired a new Olds, Alberta resident, Katrina Kerr.
Katrina moved from rural Ontario with 17 years of growing in landscaping, garden center, floral design, and merchandising a beautiful destination gift shop. She was instantly charmed by The Ladybug Studio and its gorgeous gardens, blooming plants, and tasteful decor.
A year later, Margaurita sold the business to Katrina, our current owner. Katrina holds the community and service values established by the original owner and is working to expand the shop’s services and offerings in the coming years.
